World heart day celebration started to bring awareness among the people regarding risk with heart attack and heart related problems. In today’s world, about 29% of all deaths are due to heart disease, which means about 1 in 3 people amongst us has a heart problem, due to which it is important to make people aware of this phenomena and how to deal with it. Most of these heart attacks can be prevented by simple measures like a small 30 min of jogging or walk and thus, this walkathon has been organized. The theme for this year is one world, one heart and one hope, whjch means if every one of us realizes the dire need of the hour so as to take care of our heart, the world would become a better place to live in and lesser heart disease. A few simple steps to control heart disease are proper exercise, proper habits like no tobacco use, and a healthy diet. A healthy diet is the one where less amount of saturated and carbohydrate is consumed. The diet should consist of less fried food and at least,25% of the diet should comprise of fruits and vegetables.
